Celebrate Freedom with an All-American House Party this Fourth of ...

As the Fourth of July nears, it?s once again time to plan for a memorable Independence Day party. If you?re hosting at home, remember that an amazing party can be thrown no matter where you are, how little space there is, or how many guests you invite over. All that matters is that your party has patriotic spirit with all-American favorites for your guests.

For suburban homes, nothing beats inviting family and friends over for a classic barbecue so you can celebrate freedom with the people you love. This kind of gathering becomes all the more significant if you have war veterans in the family.

Kick it off by stocking your home with all kinds of grillable foods such as burgers, hotdogs, and steaks. If that?s not enough ? and usually it isn?t ? buy some corn on the cob for grilling, make some homemade chili, and of course serve an assortment of ice cream, pies, and pastries for dessert.

Most important of all, don?t forget the beverages; this party can?t be the same without an ice cold pitcher of lemonade for the kids and a cooler filled with all-American beer for the adults.

If you live in an apartment in the city, you might be able to pull off a barbecue if you have rooftop access ? and your landlord?s blessing, of course. If that?s not feasible, then throwing a party in your own living room can be just as excellent. All you need to do is invite your closest friends for a nice little get together.

For food, you can either cook ? or order ? everything yourself, or make things interesting by hosting a potluck celebration. Assign all-American favorites such as Buffalo wings, fries, and pot roast depending on who you think can make them the best.

If you?re one of those romantics who would rather spend time with their special someone during the Fourth of July, then a nice dinner date with a touch of red, white, and blue should do the trick.

Set up your dining room with a candlelit table for two. You can pour some red wine and enjoy a three-course meal starting with soup, steak, and a classic apple pie ala mode.

After, watch your favorite patriotic films and enjoy the rest of the night in a more relaxed mood.

These are just some of the many ways we can celebrate the coming Independence Day. Got more ideas? Feel free to leave a comment ? we?d love to hear from you!
