MurshidAbdulHakeem Adhaalath Party (AP) has said that the sudden policy enacted by the government to make Maldivian Ruffiya (MRF) as the legal tender of the state might affect the economy. In a press release of the party issued yesterday, AP said that the sudden enforcement of Ruffiya as the state?s legal tender might have its bad consequences on the already torn economy of the Maldives. AP said that such policies should be implemented only through a planned out economic reform package. AP also condemned the government?s order to Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) to implement the policy.
